Question: At what age can signs of Parkinson's Disease be noticed?

Parkinson's disease belongs to a group of conditions called motor system disorders. The four primary symptoms are tremor or trembling in hands, arms, legs, jaw, and face; rigidity or stiffness of the limbs and trunk; bradykinesia or slowness of movement; and postural instability or impaired balance and coordination. It is both chronic and progressive with symptoms generally getting worse as time goes on.

Answer: Parkinson's Disease is generally considered a disease of late middle age with the average age of onset at around 60 years of age. There are cases of of "early-onset" Parkinson's disease with patients developing symptoms prior to the age of 40. Actor Michael J. Fox reportedly developed symptoms in his early 30's.
